Completes exactEarth's First Generation Satellite AIS Constellation

CAMBRIDGE, ON, February 22, 2018 /CNW/ - exactEarth Ltd. (“exactEarth” or the “Company”) (TSX: XCT), a leading provider of Satellite AIS data services, announced today the successful launch of an advanced Automatic Identification System (AIS) payload, exactView-8 (EV-8), aboard the Spanish radar satellite, Paz. The satellite was launched from the Vandenberg Air Base in California, using the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, and is owned and operated by Hisdesat Servicios Estrategicos S.A. The hosted AIS payload is owned by exactEarth and is expected to be commissioned in the coming months.

The project was part-funded from the European Space Agency’s Business Applications.

Nine More Satellites in exactEarth's Real-Time Constellation Now Launched

Adding to the excitement of our recent news that first nine real-time satellites were brought into service, nine more satellites were just launched into the revolutionary constellation, exactView RT powered by Harris.

The October 9 Iridium NEXT launch successfully carried nine of our real-time payloads into orbit where they are now undergoing standard commissioning and are expected to be brought online in the coming months. With this recent launch, exactEarth now has the most number of AIS receivers in orbit.

By the end of 2017 more than half of the exactEarth RT powered by Harris payloads are expected to be in orbit with the rest following quickly to meet our 2018 completion date. The future is near!
